Winners of the “Woman of the Year” National Award Honored

On December 26, 2022, the awarding ceremony of the republican stage winners of the “Woman of the Year” national competition, established at the initiative of the President, was held by the Oila va xotin-qizlar davlat qoʻmitasi at the Oʻzbekiston kasaba uyushmalari saroyi.

A total of 147 women participated in the final stage, and winners were determined across 9 nominations.

Notably, 7 of the awardees are dedicated and accomplished women working in higher education. Among them, Professor Guli Ergasheva of the Oʻzbekiston davlat jahon tillari universiteti received the Grand Prix in the nomination “Best Initiator of New Ideas.”

Following the ceremony, the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Abduqodir Toshqulov, met with the awardees and congratulated them, highlighting their perseverance and significant contributions.

It was also emphasized that in recent years, extensive efforts have been made to expand opportunities for women in higher education and strengthen their role in society.

At the end of the event, the winners were presented with certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts, along with wishes for continued success.
