Our students performed with distinction in the traditional “Chinese Bridge” competition

On March 31, 2026, at the regional stage of the traditional “Chinese Bridge” competition held among students of higher educational institutions, talented students of our university’s TTCh-224 group—Firuza Abdieva and Leyla Nugmanova—participated with distinction and won an honorable 3rd place. This high result is a clear reflection of their continuous efforts and dedicated hard work in learning the Chinese language. Congratulations, dear students!

Our university was widely promoted at a business forum in Jakarta, and a number of practical proposals were put forward by our representatives

A Jakarta–Samarkand business forum was held in Jakarta with the participation of the Samarkand regional delegation. The event was aimed at developing cooperation between the two regions in trade-economic, investment, and tourism sectors. Representatives of the “Silk Road”International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage actively participated in the forum. They put forward initiatives to strengthen the integration of international education and tourism.

The third Uzbek-Hungarian rectors' forum began in Samarkand

Today, March 5, the third Uzbek-Hungarian Rectors' Forum on the topic "Higher Education in the Digital Era: Artificial Intelligence, Innovative Models and Globally Competitive Universities" began at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the COP29 conference in Baku

In his speech, the Head of State emphasized that large-scale reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan to achieve carbon neutrality. “We are firmly carrying out large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan to achieve carbon neutrality. We plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent by 2030. We are ready to further expand this commitment until 2050. We will increase the share of ‘green’ energy up to 40 percent. We are creating clusters of electric vehicles and ‘green’ hydrogen, as well as solar and wind generation hubs. Within the framework of our ‘Green Space’ program, we are sharply increasing green areas,” said the President.

On December 12, 2025, the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician Ye.A. Buketov organized an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “The Digital Economy: A New Business Architecture and Competencies Transformation”. Associate Professor of our university, PhD N. Rakhimova participated in this conference online.
